Stand Against Racism on April 28 (p I)

Published by anaantunes on

URBAN.Boston will host a Stand Against Racism event on Monday, April 28th from 6-8pm in the Ryan Lounge (3rd Floor, McCormack Building, UMASS Boston). A reception will be held 6-6:30pm with the program starting at 6:30pm.

This event is part of the Stand Against Racism™ movement organized by the YWCA that aims to eliminate racism by raising awareness through its annual event. Organizations across the United States will be holding events and hundreds of thousands of people will take a Stand Against Racism™ across the country.

The event will raise awareness that racism still exists in our communities and that it can no longer be tolerated. We seek to bring people together to discuss the power of research and partnership to help eliminate racism. We ask you to make your voice heard by joining the Stand Against Racism. The URBAN.Boston – Stand Against Racism event will feature a panel of researchers discussing the impact of racism in community engaged research projects as well as an opportunity for new faculty and graduate students to share their research ideas and get feedback.
