For more information about URBAN Boston, please contact us: Email URBAN.BOSTON at:\u00a0<\/span>urban.boston@umb.edu<\/a><\/p> Like\u00a0<\/span>URBAN.Boston on Facebook<\/a> In\u00a02012-2013, URBAN.Boston focused on defining its potential capabilities for increasing research collaborations between academics and community members by first engaging\u00a0in public\u00a0discussions and increasing\u00a0our network capacity both online and in person.\u00a0\u00a0We also encouraged unfettered brainstorming about URBAN.Boston\u2019s possibilities. \u00a0We coordinated\u00a0many\u00a0public meetings over the past year:<\/p> Support for URBAN.Boston is provided by\u00a0<\/span>SAGE Publications<\/a>, the\u00a0<\/span>Edward W. Hazen Foundation<\/a>, and\u00a0<\/span>UMASS Boston<\/a>.<\/p> There are currently over 200 participants in the URBAN.Boston network including members of local and statewide community groups, labor unions, think-tanks, academic institutions, government agencies, businesses, financial institutions, and other non-profits.<\/p> URBAN.Boston is led by a Planning Team comprised of diverse practitioners who are committed to building this emerging network.
