{"id":2334,"date":"2014-05-12T01:24:31","date_gmt":"2014-05-12T01:24:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/urbanresearchnetwork.org\/?p=2334"},"modified":"2024-02-08T01:08:02","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T01:08:02","slug":"stand-against-racism-event-highlights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/urbanresearchnetwork.org\/stand-against-racism-event-highlights\/","title":{"rendered":"Stand Against Racism on April 28 (p II)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 28, URBAN.Boston, in conjunction with the Center for Social Policy at UMass Boston\u2019s McCormack Graduate School co-hosted a Stand Against Racism panel discussion drawing over seventy researchers, faculty members, students, and community members from across the Boston area.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Warren, associate professor in the Department of Public Policy and Public Affairs at UMass Boston, and Donna Haig-Friedman, director of the Center for Social Policy facilitated the discussion among a diverse group of panelists. Representing varied organizations across the city, panelists included two UMass Boston colleagues: Karen Suyemoto from the Departments of Psychology and Asian American Studies and Sunni Ali, a constituent advisor at the Center for Social Policy and a board member and Criminal Justice Committee organizer at the Boston Worker\u2019s Alliance. Others included J.
