New York University is seeking applicants for a Research Scientist to work under the supervision of Dr. June Ahn. This is a 3-year position.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Project Summary<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will bring experience in managing research- practice partnerships, and helping partner organizations implement cycles of improvement and evaluation.<\/p>\n

Strong candidates will have research expertise and interests in informal learning organizations, developing learning pathways for youth, college and career readiness, improvement science, practical measures, and research-practice partnerships.<\/p>\n

Our project (called Here 2 Here) will help to develop partnerships between an ecosystem of youth development institutions \u2013 public schools, informal learning programs, community colleges, the CUNY system, employers and industry HR professionals etc. \u2013 to design and study innovative pathways to education and career for youth in the South Bronx.<\/p>\n

Successful candidates will be comfortable conducting research in diverse environments, and coordinating with professionals across many fields. The research scientist will also be assisting in co- designing, implementing, and facilitating the research-practice partnership, and assist in the development of practical measures for improvement. The candidate would co-supervise the work of graduate students and staff, publish research papers, contribute to grant writing and materials development, work closely with implementing partners, and help shape the overall scope and direction of the research.<\/p>\n
