Harvard College is currently seeking applications for the newly established Director of the Mindich Program in Engaged Scholarship position. This position will assume primary responsibility for the implementation of an exciting new initiative connecting public service to academic coursework at Harvard College.
Qualifications include a Doctoral degree and previous teaching experience along with a demonstrated commitment to public service. The Director of the Mindich Program in Engaged Scholarship will provide leadership for this new initiative while concurrently teaching at least one engaged scholarship course each year in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The Director of the Mindich Program in Engaged Scholarship will have an office and receive administrative support in the Phillips Brooks House Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship. This position will report to the Dean of Undergraduate Education (curriculum and pedagogy) and the Assistant Dean for Public Service (experiential placements). This position will also work closely with public service staff and student leaders along with faculty and members of the FAS Standing Committee on Public Service.
